Kid Explains is a learning site built on one simple idea: if you can't explain something to a five-year-old, you don't fully understand it yourself.
Every article on this site starts from scratch — no assumed knowledge, no jargon without explanation. We use stories, analogies, and everyday comparisons to make even the most technical topics click instantly.
Why we built this
The internet is full of explanations written for people who already know the answer. Wikis, docs, and textbooks are great references — but they're terrible teachers for beginners.
We wanted a place where someone who has never heard of an IP address, a firewall, or a DNS server can walk away genuinely understanding it — not just having read a definition.
